Let Yourself Be Seen
There comes a moment in life when we realise that staying small is more painful than being seen.
For so long, many of us learn to hide parts of ourselves.
The dreams that feel too big.
The desires that feel too bold.
The truth that feels too uncomfortable to speak.
The feelings we worry others won't understand.
So we soften our words.
We swallow our needs.
We avoid difficult conversations.
We convince ourselves that silence is safer.
But is it?
Because every truth left unspoken creates distance.
Distance between you and others.
Distance between you and your desires.
Distance between you and yourself.
Difficult conversations are rarely comfortable.
They ask us to be vulnerable.
To be honest.
To risk being misunderstood.
To risk hearing something we may not want to hear.
Yet they also create the possibility for deeper connection, greater clarity, and real change.
What if the conversation you've been avoiding is the very thing that sets you free?
What if speaking your truth opens a door that silence never could?
What if being seen is exactly what your soul has been asking for?
There is courage in saying what you really feel.
There is courage in asking for what you really want.
There is courage in owning your desires without shrinking them to make others comfortable.
You were not born to live half-expressed.
You were not born to hide your gifts, your voice, your dreams, or your truth.
You were born to experience the full expansion of who you are.
To love deeply.
To dream boldly.
To express honestly.
To live authentically.
Not everyone will understand you.
Not everyone will agree with you.
And that is okay.
Your job is not to make yourself smaller so that others feel comfortable.
Your job is to honour what is true for you.
So today, ask yourself:
What conversation have I been avoiding?
What truth am I ready to speak?
What desire am I ready to own?
Because on the other side of fear is freedom.
And on the other side of silence is the life that has been waiting for you all along.
Be brave.
Be open.
Be vulnerable.
Be daring enough to let yourself be seen.
